US immigration Office in American Samoa Raided for Human Trafficking Allegations

A suspected human trafficking activity resulted in a raid in an American Samoa US immigration office in Utulei village and at Pago Pago International Airport. Law enforcement officers conducted this search to gather proof of any illegal doings in the said office.

Alleged reports of human trafficking victims came from China, the Philippines and South Korea. These victims were suspected to have given a hefty amount to be able to reach American Samoa with a promise of work and better income. However, they may have been allegedly brought to prostitution.

If there is evidence linking the office of immigration in America Samoa, defendants may be charged with federal case.
