The Visa Bulletin October 2010 is expected to be released this coming week. As of September, the priority dates made significant movements again. Family categories like F-1 (unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens) and F-2B (unmarried sons and daughters over 21 years of age of legal permanent residents) moved one year. The F-2A category (spouse and children below 21 years of age of legal permanent residents) jumped around ten months forward while F-3 and F-4 moved 8 and 9 months forward, respectively.
Concerned petitioners and beneficiaries must take note of the sudden movement of the US Visa Bulletin month after month. There are cases of declared denied petitions because petitioners and applicants fail to update their postal address with USCIS. Correspondences will be sent to the original address declared on the application form. If no response is received at a given time, USCIS may deny cases for abandonment. It is a must that petitioners and applicants keep themselves posted on their priority dates to avoid delays or abandonment of immigrant petitions.
This site will be updated as soon as Visa Bulletin October 2010 is released.
